i think there are people on this site that were pretty sure by "rational thought processes" that they had the right religion.

why not accept life now, while you have it, and understand that like all others before you, you are going to die too.

Dating a JW :-(
by MIADanny ini have been dating a jw for 2 years now and everything has been going great other than the fact that she is in a cult.
she at first tried to convince me to join but she quickly realized i wasnt believer.
in this age of information i just dont see how so many people can fall victim to this religion.

JW christmas is just round the corner... ugh!
by MisfitMeL inyeah so the memorial is getting closer.. and even though my mum knows i am not attending the meetings, she keeps staying i should at least attend the memorial.... coz it's like special.. no idea how to get myself out of it.
everytime she brings up the topic over the phone, i just mumble and say stuff like, yeah but i finish work late... i dunno where the kh is out here etc etc.
i don't know why jws treat the memorial like it's christmas.

They never invite me to the memorial. Even when i had an Elder who seemed to be assigned to me. He didnt invite me. (I have a feeling they dont like me, and I'm sensitive)

How would you describe your Congregation
by Truthexplorer ini would describe my congregation on the whole as quite wooden ad robotic.
though there are some genuine sincere and loving brothers/sisters, there is overall something missing in my hall.
i dont feel incited to love and fine works by the brothers.. i find the boe as a whole - to be quite distant.
